Rentiuno Privacy Policy

Last updated: 26 September 2026

Who we are

Rentiuno ("Rentiuno", "we", "us", or "our") is a mobile app that helps landlords manage their rental properties, leases, tenants, rent and other income, and reimbursement requests. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.

Rentiuno is operated by RENTIUNO PTY LTD (ABN 18 700 429 974), an Australian company. If you have any questions about this policy or your personal information, contact us at privacy@rentiuno.com.au.

This policy is written for Australia and follows the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). If you use the app from outside Australia, see "Your privacy rights" and "Where your information is stored" below.

A note on tenant and other third-party information

Rentiuno is built for landlords. As a landlord using the app, you will enter information about other people, mainly your tenants (for example their name, email, and phone number), so you can track leases and payments.

When you do this, you are responsible for that information. You should only enter details you are entitled to hold, and you should make sure your tenants know you keep their details in a property-management app and how to reach you about it. Rentiuno stores and processes this information on your behalf so the app can work. If a tenant contacts us directly about their information, we will generally refer them to you (the landlord who holds it) and help where we reasonably can. See "Your privacy rights" below.

Information we collect

Information you give us

Information we collect automatically

We do not collect special category or sensitive information (such as health, racial, or biometric data), and you should not enter such information about your tenants into the app.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Notifications and emails

You control how we contact you:

Reminder emails are sent through Amazon Simple Email Service (SES) from a rentiuno.com.au address.

What we send, and to whom. Every email we send is transactional. We do not send marketing, newsletters or bulk campaigns, and we never buy, rent or import mailing lists.

Opting out. Every email we send to a landlord or a tenant, apart from sign-in codes, carries a one-click unsubscribe link in the message and supports your email provider's own unsubscribe button. Opting out takes effect immediately and needs no account or login. Sign-in codes carry no unsubscribe link because they are sent only in response to a sign-in you have just requested.

If an address bounces or someone reports a message as spam, we stop sending to that address.

How we share information

We share personal information only as described here:

We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

Our website

Most of this policy is about the Rentiuno app, which has no advertising and no tracking. Our website, www.rentiuno.com.au, is different: it uses two third-party tools so we can see how people find it and measure our advertising.

Links from the website to the App Store carry a campaign code, so Apple can tell us which ad or part of the website led to a download. Apple reports these to us as totals, not as individual people.

Launch list. Until Rentiuno is on the App Store, the website has a form you can use to hear when it launches. If you use it, we collect your email address and which page and ad you came from (for example, the campaign name in the link you followed). We use your email only to tell you when Rentiuno launches. It's stored on AWS in Sydney (ap-southeast-2) and never shared with Google or Meta; they're only told that the form was used, and on which page. To stop abuse, we also keep a one-way scrambled copy of your IP address, which is deleted automatically within a few days.

Apart from that form, the website doesn't ask for your name or email, and nothing from your Rentiuno account is shared with Google or Meta. You can block these cookies in your browser settings, control how Meta uses them for ads in your Facebook ad preferences, and opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on.

Where your information is stored (cross-border disclosure)

Your information is stored primarily on AWS infrastructure in Australia (Sydney, ap-southeast-2). Some service providers may process limited data outside Australia:

Where information is disclosed overseas, we take reasonable steps consistent with Australian Privacy Principle 8 to ensure it is handled appropriately.

Data security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest, access controls, and use of established cloud infrastructure (AWS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us at privacy@rentiuno.com.au.

Data retention

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the app. When you delete a record in the app, it is first marked as deleted (a "soft delete") and excluded from your lists and totals, then removed on a routine basis.

You can delete your account and everything in it at any time. There are two ways to do it:

Either way your account is deactivated straight away, so you won't be able to sign in, and we permanently delete your data after a 7 day grace period. If you change your mind, contact us before that grace period ends and we'll stop the process. After it ends, the deletion is final.

We keep a minimal record of the deletion request itself, without your name or email, so we can show it was carried out. We may also keep limited information where the law requires it, for example to meet legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution obligations. Full details are on our account deletion page.

We delete launch list emails once the launch email has gone out, and within 180 days of when you last used the form at the latest. To have yours removed sooner, email privacy@rentiuno.com.au.

Your privacy rights

Subject to applicable law, you can:

To exercise any of these, contact us at privacy@rentiuno.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable time and in line with our obligations under the Privacy Act.

If you are a tenant or other person whose details a landlord has entered into Rentiuno, the landlord controls that information. Please contact the landlord directly. You can also contact us at privacy@rentiuno.com.au and we will help where we reasonably can, including by passing your request to the relevant landlord.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom (GDPR): you also have rights to data portability and to object to or restrict certain processing, and you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

If you are a California resident (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

Children's privacy

Rentiuno is intended for landlords and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at privacy@rentiuno.com.au and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top, and for significant changes we will provide a more prominent notice (such as an in-app message). Your continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
